Finances

Cannon Falls Education Foundation (CFEF) has awarded grants for Cannon Falls Area Schools classroom programs and equipment since 1993.

Teachers and staff may request a grant by simply filling out the request form and submitting it to the CFEF Board of Directors who then reviews it.

These programs have touched the lives of every student in our school district. In the last 3 years CFEF has awarded over $210,000 in grants. See below the "Current Program Grant Summary" and a list of grants that have been awarded since 2020, sorted by fiscal year.

Endowment Information
The Cannon Falls Education Foundation funds grants, in part, through interest earned on an endowment fund. CFEF continues to have a conservative investment strategy for the operating fund and endowment fund. One-third of new funds raised are added to the endowment. Each year 4% of our endowment is designated to pay for programs within our schools.
